TAMAKI INTERMEDIATE BOYS YEAR 8 - ANZAC BISCUITS

For the past 8weeks we have been making food from other countries. This week we decided to remain in New Zealand making Anzac biscuits. Making Anzacs has not been very hard for us since we were following a recipe. Below is the recipe that we used
Ingredients1c flour, 1c rollled oats, half c coconut, 3tsp golden syrup, 140g butter, 3tsp boiling water 1tsp baking soda

Method
Sift the flour into a bowl then add rolled oats, coconut and sugar.
Melt the butter in a saucepan and add golden syrup and water.
Add baking soda and allow to foam then pour immediately into the dry ingredients.
Mix well then take small amounts of the mixture and press out thinly on a greased oven tray allowing space between each for spreading.
Bake in a slow oven as they burn easily.
Leave them to cool on a wire rack. Enjoy
!

Oven 180 degrees.
