Potato wedges - Tamaki Year 7
This week we designed and made our own potato wedges. Our wedges were golden brown and tasted nice because of a variety of spices that we used. The recipe we used was very easy to follow. Below is a list of the ingredients we used.
4 large potatoes
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp garlic or onion salt
2tbsp olive oil
For dipping we had to choose from these sauces-:
Bbq sauce
Tomato sauce
sour cream
sweet chilli sauce
mayonnaise
chilli hot sauce
Method
Cut the potatoes into wedges.
Soak then in cold water.
Dry them between paper towels and brush them with oil.
Put all the dry ingredients (for coating) in a large plastic container except for oil.
Put the cut potatoes in the container and close it tight so it holds air and shake well.
Lie the wedges flat on a cold greased oven tray and bake for 20-30 minutes or until tender and golden brown.
Serve with dipping sauce. Enjoy!!!!!!!!
